Théo Hernandez is a French professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Marseille in the Ligue 1 league and the France national team. He was born on October 22, 1994, in Le Mans, France.
Hernandez started his career with local club AS Saint-Etienne before moving to Olympique Lyonnais at the age of 17. He made his debut for the Lyon senior squad during the 2011–12 season and quickly established himself as one of the most promising young talents in French football.
In January 2015, Hernandez signed for Manchester United on loan from Lyon, where he played until the end of the 2015–16 season. During his time at Old Trafford, he helped the Red Devils secure their first Premier League title in 28 years and reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League.
