Pierre Kalulu, the young French midfielder who joined Milan from Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain last summer, has made quite an impact since his arrival at San Siro. In just over two months with the club, Kalulu has already scored one goal and provided one assist.
Kalulu's first goal for Milan came against Sassuolo on October 22nd, as he netted the equalizer in a 2-2 draw. The goal was a testament to his skill and pace, as he found himself on the end of a cross from teammate Hakan Calhanoglu and calmly slotted it past goalkeeper Lorenzo Pellegrini. It was also a reminder that Kalulu is not just a talented player, but also someone who can make an impact when given the opportunity.
Kalulu's performance so far this season has been impressive, too. He has started all four of Milan's Serie A matches thus far,Campeonato Brasileiro Action playing in midfield alongside fellow new signing Alessandro Florenzi. While he may still be learning the ropes of life in Italy, Kalulu has shown promise, completing 95% of his passes and creating three chances for his teammates.
One area where Kalulu needs to improve is in his aerial game. Despite his height (6'4"), he has struggled to win enough headers up against bigger opposition. This could be something that coaches will address during training, though, as Kalulu has shown flashes of strength and determination in the air.
Overall, Kalulu's goals and assists have helped to turn Milan's fortunes around after a difficult start to the season. With more time under his belt and continued development, there is no doubt that Kalulu will continue to impress and help the Rossoneri to achieve their goals in Serie A and beyond.
